It ís well known by now that the Vietnamese shrimp industry has been experiencing significant growth during 2017. According to the VASEP, Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, the total value of seafood exporting is projected to increase 18 percent comparing to the past year.
In 2017, Vietnam exported $8.3 billions of seafood to the world. Shrimp export alone accounted for $3.5 billions, which is nearly half of the total seafood exported during that period. On the other hand, catfish and tuna industry in Vietnam also has continued to growth at 5 percent and 19 percent, respectively.
